UNITED KINGDOM -- Howard Morris, the president of Executive Golf Tours was born in Airthrey Castle in Scotland. The Morris name has been associated with golf since 1860 and in the first decade of The Open, the Morris family from the Home of Golf, St Andrews, both father and son won the championship belt on seven of the eleven times for which it was actually played.
From 1972, Howard served for 10 years in the Royal Air Force and NATO under General Alexander Haig who became Secretary of State of America. Howard played for NATO in Europe where he made many golfing contacts and led easily and naturally into the initial development of Executive Golf Tours. He has travelled throughout Asia and North America on official travel trade missions with the British Tourist Authority (BTA) promoting Scotland and the UK as a number one golf destination.
Howard has over 20 years experience in golf event and tour management at government, corporate and personal levels and has first class relationships with all UK golf courses and resorts of note within the UK being recognized as a 'Mecca' for golfers worldwide and Scotland, the "Home of Golf".
