Nickent Golf names Jim Grundberg national sales manager

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif -- Nickent Golf announced the appointment of Jim Grundberg as their National Sales Manager. Grundberg was brought on to help manage the extreme growth Nickent Golf is experiencing since they became one of the top used brands on the PGA Tours. In the last 6 months, Nickent has opened over 2000 new accounts, making them the fastest growing golf company in America.

Grundberg is familiar with golf manufacturers experiencing massive sales booms from when he served as the vice president of sales for Odyssey Golf (1995-1999). At Odyssey, Grundberg directed the worldwide sales and marketing of the putter company, helping to make them the number one market share putter brand in golf. In his 17 years in the golf industry, he has also worked for Cutter and Buck, Taylor Made Golf and Wilson Sporting Goods in a variety of sales, marketing and product development positions.

“The addition of Jim Grundberg to our team is right in line with the evolution of Nickent,” said Executive Vice President/Sales Ian Zubkoff. “2005 has been an unbelievable year for Nickent in all regards. Our sales force has been on a terror and has earned the reputation as one of the best in golf. To make that team even better, we needed someone with Jim’s vast experience, especially in terms of overall sales management and branding expertise.”

The signing with Nickent was music to Grundberg’s ears. Following his time with Odyssey, he spent five years in executive level sales roles in Nashville’s music industry, including executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Gibson Guitar. However, his heart never left the golf club industry.
