BOSTON, Mass. -- The New England Athletes for Academic Excellence (NEAAE) was founded by David Eastmond from Boston, Massachusetts, as a Scholarship Fund to provide scholarship opportunities for the New England student-athlete and to promote regional academic and athletic interest with the help of colleges and universities.
The New England Athletes for Academic Excellence invites you to participate in our First Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, October 14, 2005 at Franklin Park Golf Course, Dorchester, MA. Shotgun start will be at 8:00 a.m. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated. The cost for individual golfers is $125.00 per person. (This includes green fees, golf cart, cook-out, and prizes. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Massachusetts is a non-profit organization which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. (Deadline for registration is October 7, 2005).
This year, nearly 400 children in Massachusetts will be newly diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. For a child who is undergoing rigorous medical treatments, the chance to choose, plan, and anticipate a wish provides a feeling of control and strength during a difficult time. A wish also provides a much-needed respite for the entire family.
It is only through the compassion and generosity of our supporters that we can continue to bring moments of hope, strength, and joy to the wish children of Massachusetts. There are many ways that you can give, and help us reach our goal of granting wishes for more than 300 children and their families this year!
