CELEBRATION, Fla. -- Mystic Dunes Golf Club will host a tournament, “Make a Difference at Mystic Dunes,” in support of the relief effort for the Gulf Coast area, much of which has been decimated by Hurricane Katrina. The golf scramble will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, at 1:00 p.m., with registration and lunch beginning at 12 noon. All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund for Hurricane Katrina, which is gathering support nationwide. In addition, Tempus Resorts will match all dollars raised at the event.
“As a community, everyone has been very focused on raising funds for the much-needed relief effort on the Gulf Coast. We are organizing this golf event to help generate funds and say thank you to those who are donating,” said Roger Farwell, President and CEO of Tempus Resorts International. “The destruction left behind by Hurricane Katrina will require enormous resources for the recovery initiative, and we are glad to do our part to assist in the effort.”
The donation requested for the scramble is $75.00 per player or $250.00 per foursome, which includes golf, lunch, cart fee, a replay round for each player and prizes. To pre-register, golfers should call 407-787-5678 by Saturday morning, Sept 10.
