Additionally, the first 50 golfers to purchase a membership prior to October 31, will pay just $3,500 – a rate thousands of dollars below memberships at comparable courses in the region.
Pricing will go to $3,750 as of November 1, 2005.
Memberships and information are available at the golf shop or www.oxfordgreens.com and by calling 203.888.1600.
“Since we opened in early summer, the response from golfers and media throughout the region has been tremendous,” notes Oxford Greens GM Steve Keating. “Now that we’re offering this truly exceptional value, we expect our memberships to go quickly.”
Opened in late June, The Golf Club at Oxford Greens was called “a masterpiece next to the Naugatuck State Forest that you will definitely enjoy playing” by former PGA Tour pro and two-time Connecticut Open winner Mike Colandro (now a course reviewer for The Herald Press).
Delicately carved from more than 680 acres of scenic woodland west of Naugatuck State Forest, Oxford Greens features a neo-classical design that harkens back to the golden era of golf architecture. The latest effort from award-winning architect Mark Mungeam – designer of 2003 U.S. Open site Olympia Fields – the club boasts five sets of tees to suit players of all ages and abilities. The 7,186-yard, par-72 course incorporates a wealth of New England’s natural beauty, meandering through pristine woods, open meadows and protected areas.
Managed by Billy Casper Golf, the Golf Club at Oxford Greens is ideally less than one hour from New Your City and easily accessible for residents of Fairfield, New Haven, Litchfield and Hartford counties.
