BROOKFIELD, Ohio -- Simply Ed Productions hosts the 7th annual Golf Open on Monday, August 15, 2005. This sold-out event takes place at Yankee Run Golf Course in Brookfield. Sponsorships are still available for $100 each and are 100% tax deductible.

Current sponsors include O’Donold’s Irish Pub & Grill, Budweiser, Harley-Davidson Motorcycle and Yankee Run Golf Course. Sponsors receive recognition at hole signs, in the event program and during the awards ceremony. The evening concludes with a steak dinner at 4pm, followed by awards and door prizes. A MDA family will be joining golfers for dinner and a meet-and-greet.

In addition, Simply Ed Productions is holding a 24-hour karaoke auction at Kahunaville Restaurant in Youngstown during the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. Karaoke starts at 5pm on September 4th and goes till 5pm the next day.

All funds raised through the Simply Ed golf outing and karaoke auction will go directly to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. MDA combats neuromuscular diseases with clinics, support groups and research grants. Nationally, MDA sends 4,300 children with neuromuscular diseases to MDA summer camp each year. The $600.00 fee is paid in full by MDA at no cost to the families. MDA, financed entirely by private contributions, raises funds through events like the Simply Ed Golf Outing and the annual Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon airing Labor Day Weekend on Youngstown’s WYTV Channel 33.
