HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. -- West Coast Trends, Inc., makers of the Club Glove, the Number One travel bag in golf, reported a break-in at it's company headquarters two weeks ago.
Thieves broke a window and stole several Club Glove products from the lobby including a replica of a Ryder Cup bag made for U.S. Team Captain, Hal Sutton, two En Vogue Ladies Bags and various other pieces of luggage.
"When I first learned of the break-in, I thought the robber must have dreamed of being a Ryder Cup Captain," said Jeff Herold, President, West Coast Trends. "But then I found out he also took a couple of ladies bags and was a little confused. He also grabbed a couple pieces of luggage - perhaps to use to get out of town."
Apparently the robber didn't feel he could fill the shoes of the President of the United States. An exact replica of a bag made for President Bush was left behind.
The robbery resulted in a loss of a few thousand dollars worth of product. "It appears as though people are risking jail time just to get their hands on Club Glove products," commented Herold.
