MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Springmaid Beach Resort & Conference Center (SMB) in Myrtle Beach, S.C., is offering a special $59 per night room rate for participants in the 2005 PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship. The rate is available from August 28 through September 1, 2005, and requires a five night stay. Each room has two queen-sized beds, and are subject to availability.

SMB has 492 oceanfront rooms and more than a quarter mile of secluded-beach. The 27-acre resort is home to one of the longest and most popular piers along the Grand Strand. Stretching out over 1,000 feet into the ocean, the pier features a snack bar, gift and tackle shop. Other on-site amenities at SMB include six pools, two lazy rivers, Marlin's Restaurant for oceanfront dining, a mini-golf course, and 35,000 square feet of meeting space.
