PORT O'CONNOR, Texas — Eidolon's V-SOLE wedges have become increasingly well-known for delivering incredible stopping power and superior control from most any lie, and today Eidolon Golf is delivering that same performance for southpaws. Eidolon Golf proudly introduces all-new left-handed models of its patented V-SOLE line of premium wedges.
"Wedge technology and design changes that offer real improvement in playability are extremely few and far between in golf, and they are even more rare for left-handed players," says Terry Koehler, president of Eidolon Golf, who is a former Ben Hogan Golf executive and former co-owner of Reid Lockhart Golf Co. "Of course, many equipment companies have offered up new options such as various bounce angles and raw finishes over the years, but no one has introduced real scoring improvement through short game innovation. We believe the V-SOLE® wedges represent the first genuine technological design advancement in wedges in more than 40 years, and we wanted to make our premium wedges available to all golfers, right- and left-handed alike."
Koehler explains that Eidolon Golf combines precise CNC milling of faces and grooves with its patented V-SOLE technology to produce a line of premium wedges that generate increased ball spin, provide shot-making versatility and ensure more control in order to deliver serious short-game improvement. "Ultimately, this technology makes Eidolon wedges more accurate and more playable," he says.
Available in 52-, 56- and 60-degree options, Eidolon wedges feature patented V-SOLE Technology, in which the leading edge of the wedge's sole — about one-quarter of an inch — has an aggressive bounce (18 degrees bounce on the 52-degree lofted wedge, 30 degrees bounce on the 56 wedge, and 25 degrees of bounce on the 60-degree wedge) that ensures that the leading edge never digs into the turf. The primary rear portion of the sole features minimal bounce — three degrees on the 52 gap wedge, seven degrees on the 56 mid- wedge and six degrees on the 60 lob wedge, for tight lie performance.
In addition to the V-SOLE Technology, explains Koehler, Eidolon Golf goes far beyond most wedge manufacturers by painstakingly CNC-milling each wedge face and then CNC-milling every individual groove in every wedge. This process is much more extensive than the milling work done by other wedge companies, he says, but it's a process that achieves nearly 100 percent of the groove specifications allowed by the U.S. Golf Association, as compared with as low as 60 to 70 percent groove measurements that are common to standard production wedges.
Eidolon Golf's V-SOLE wedges are available in 52-degree, 56-degree and 60-degree RH and LH models for $129.00 and are sold exclusively through www.eidolongolf.com. For more information, please visit www.eidolongolf.com or www.bestwedge.com, or call 361.983.4691.
