MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (July 13, 2005) -- Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday announced today that former San Francisco 49er receiver and two-time Super Bowl Champion Dwight Clark will serve as the Honorary Chairman for the 2005 PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship. The world's largest single-site amateur golf tournament, the 22nd annual World Am will be held August 29 – September 2, 2005, on approximately 50 courses along the Grand Strand.

In his role as the Honorary Chairman, Clark will emcee Thursday night's closing ceremonies at the World's Largest 19th Hole, which includes the finals of the $150,000 Centex Homes Villa Quest give away, play in Friday's Championship Round and present the Championship Trophy to the 2005 World Champion at The Dunes Beach and Golf Club.
