Akira introduces TM-Series Drivers

TEMECULA, Calif. — Akira Products and its United States distributor, Eastern Golf Company of Temecula, Calif., announce the new availability of its TM Series drivers in the United States and North America. The new TM Series drivers feature 6-4 titanium construction and unique Stabilizing Beam Design that maximizes distance and forgiveness.

"Akira is well-known internationally for providing golfers with excellent quality products at a great value, and the TM Series drivers are tour professional models that meet a wide variety of player needs," says Mike Matheny, president and CEO of Eastern Golf Company, exclusive United States distributor of Akira golf clubs. "Akira maintains an ambitious spirit in golf club innovation, and they continue to design and produce reliable golf clubs that perform in all conditions."

Engineered with a Stablizing Beam Design, the Akira TM-Series drivers optimize distance and control through a unique 'beam' construction. The TM-85 (8.5°) and TM-95 (9.5°) drivers provide an incredibly stable design that produces tremendous distance even for the game's hardest hitters. Their sharp head shapes and square face angles offer the launch characteristics that tour professionals and low-handicap players desire, and both drivers feature a cast 6-4 titanium body, tungsten weighting and a clubface of an extremely high-strength alloy ‘TVC' that provides a soft feeling and sharp sound at impact that inspires confidence off the tee.

New for 2005, TM-105 driver offers more distance than ever before for players who just want to enjoy the game. As the TM-105 possesses a 'hot' Coefficient of Restitution rating that exceeds 0.830, it is considered 'non-conforming' with the USGA, however, it does conform with R&A rules and there's no better driver for the sheer fun of driving the long ball. The new TM-105 has the same great look and feel as Akira's conforming TM-85 and TM95 drivers and it features the same original double-beam structure that prevents clubhead distortion during impact and provides the most desirable launch angle with low spin.

Akira Products Co. has earned a strong international reputation following a corporate philosophy which inspires innovation and honest engineering. Through creative technologies and new design concepts such as stabilizing beam structures, hyper-steel manufacturing and variable face densities, Akira has worked relentlessly in developing clubs that provide maximum satisfaction to every golfer. Akira has also collaborated with many of the world's most respected graphite shaft manufacturers — such as Mitsubishi, Graphite Design, Fujikura, Mamiya-OP and others — to offer custom-fit options in shaft lengths, flex and swingweight.

"Golfers of all skill levels have found great success with Akira drivers, fairway and utility woods and irons, and we're very excited to re-introduce Akira to golfers in North America and the United States," adds Matheny.
