Rifle Shafts Win WGC-Amex Championship

TORRINGTON, Conn. - Oct. 6, 2004 - When the world’s best golfers come together for the World Golf Championships, you can always expect the best of the best — best golfers, best play, best competition. You can also expect them to play the best equipment, and that’s exactly why the premium Rifle shafts by Royal Precision dominated the play this weekend at WGC-American Express Championship at the Mount Juliet Conrad course in Kilkenny, Ireland.

Not only did Rifle-branded steel shafts win the tournament, but Rifle shafts claimed five of the Top 10 money positions, winning an additional third-place, fourth-place and two sixth-place positions — clearly the favorite among the tournament’s best players.

“Winning at the World Golf Championships is a great victory for Rifle shafts and Royal Precision,” says John Lauchnor, president and CEO of Royal Precision. “It’s very gratifying to see the world’s best golfers turning to premium Rifle products for the performance and consistency they need to compete at the highest levels of the game.”

This year, premium Royal Precision steel shafts have also won the 2004 U.S. Open and Masters Tournament as well as The International, FedEx St. Jude Classic, Ford Championship at Doral, Chrysler Classic of Tucson, Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, Sony Open and Mercedes Championships on the PGA Tour, as well as several other wins on the Champions and Nationwide Tours.
