Signature Golf Group to handle marketing for Carolina National Golf Club

Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Carolina National Golf Club in Bolivia, N.C., has awarded a two-year contract to develop and manage the Club’s golf marketing program to one of the Carolinas’ top golf management companies. Signature Golf Group, which has offices in Surfside Beach, S.C., and Charlotte, N.C., will handle all aspects of marketing for Carolina National, including promotional programs, advertising and “partnership marketing” with area accommodations. The contract takes effect in June 2005.

Carolina National Golf Club opened in 1998. With 27 holes designed by Masters Champion Fred Couples and Gene Bates, it has been awarded 4 Stars by Golf Digest “Places to Play,” as well as, being recognized for its Great Value and Great Pace of Play. The course is located along the Lockwood Folly River near Shallotte, NC. Recognized as one of the finest courses on the eastern seaboard, golfers come to Carolina National from around the globe to experience the three nines of Egret, Heron, and Ibis, named for the native waterbirds that make the course their home.

In fact, Carolina National Golf Club has been honored by the Audubon Society as a Certified Sanctuary Golf Course, the fourth course in North Carolina to receive this certification.
