Royal Cinque Ports
This famous Championship seaside links course has hosted The Open Championship on two occasions – 1909 and 1920. It is currently an Open qualifying course and boasts golfing terrain that is undoubtedly one of nature’s masterpieces. The course lies along a continuous dune in a narrow strip of land between the English channel and farm grazing land – one of the few true links courses remaining in England. The fairways are tight and fast with many undulations and the greens are second to none – quick, true and beautifully kept. Deep bunkers are built in the older more traditional way – deep pots with steep riveted sides. “Deal”, as it is commonly known in golfing circles, provides a stiff golfing challenge.

Princes
Another classic seaside links course steeped in history and offering all that is best in modern links golf. An Open qualifying course in 2003, Princes is more modern than most links courses because the course has twice risen phoenix-like from the desolation of war. The great Gene Sarazan is the only player to have won The Open at Princes in 1932 becoming the first golfer to win both Open and US Open championships in the same year. Princes offers a choice of three course formats (27 holes in 3 loops of 9 starting and finishing at the Clubhouse ). Though less undulating than it’s close neighbour Royal St George’s, the courses, with famous fast and true greens, will still provide an exciting challenge for golfers at all levels

Royal St George’s
Simply called “Sandwich”, this vast course is the truest links you will find in all England. Undulating fairways thread their way through 300 acres of isolated duneland. Without doubt Royal St George’s is a place of exceptional beauty on a fine summer day.
The scene of Ben Curtis’s famous victory in The Open in 2003, Greg Norman and Sandy Lyle have also written history on the famous fairways which have hosted 12 Open championships in an illustrious golfing history. Close to the sea, the course overlooks Pegwell Bay and is quite simply one of the most famous and most difficult golf courses in the world – providing a great test of true links golf.
