Balance-Certified Golf posts another Champions Tour win with Tom Jenkins

Tom Jenkins won the Champions Tour's Allianz Championship with his Balance-Certified Golf equipped Big Oak Putter. In fact, Tom has finished in the top 10 in five of his previous six tournaments. This continued strong performance moved him into third place in the season-long Schwab Cup competition with 892 total points. He did it with solid putting and unmatched iron play. Of course, he continues to be the hottest player on the Champions Tour using the Pro-Balance™ system from Balance-Certified Golf, Inc. (BCG) based in Huntsville, Ala. Since he first started using BCG's system in April of 2002, Jenkins has posted $4,345,707.71 in earnings along with six wins and 36 top ten finishes.

BCG's President Jeff Lindner said, "Tom's consistent performance validates that our technology is not a flash in the pan, but a proven, valued technology by the best players in the world. If we look at all the major companies using interchangeable weights in the head, it doesn't take much review of history to realize that Balance-Certified started this trend, but as our research shows, you can have more impact by working with weight in the handle."

This engineering based company started the trend to move weight around in a club back in 1999. Since then, they have grown in use and acceptance on every major Tour. In fact, their technology is stocked in several Tour support vans and is carried on the Tour bags of such companies as MacGregor's Bobby Grace, Big Oak Putters/Dave Curry Designs, SeeMore Putters, and Ray Cook Golf. VP of Sales John Cranston said, "We really can't keep track of just how many players each week are using our system any more since so many different companies are installing our products on Tour. It is safe to say, we have the widest use at all levels of professional play of any new (under 5 years) company in the industry. Balance-Certified is THE standard on all Tours."

Cranston has fitted over 120 Tour players in putters, drivers, and other clubs. Moving outside the big show, many more mini-tour players, teaching professionals and club professionals all can attest that the balancing system created by Balance-Certified Golf, Inc. has a real impact on players' touch, feel and swings. "A couple of strokes per tournament, or a couple of strokes per round can make a huge difference to the professional golfer," said Cranston. "All I can say is this: I have made a lot of friends out here with our product. If you can help a guy make more putts, it means money in his pocket." Cranston personally fitted Jenkins's Big Oak Putters/Dave Curry Designs T'ville putter back in 2004 with BCG's system. The T'ville was designed by Curry and includes his Patented top-weighting concept that delivers superb overspin roll characteristics to the ball. BCG and Curry regularly team up to meet the precise requirements of Tour level players. More on the T'ville putter can be found at www.bigoakputters.com.

BCG's former NASA engineering team first pioneered their shaft tuning technology in 1999 and have made it available to Tour players for several years. The Pro-Balance line introduces strategically located weights that can be used to adjust a golf club's vibration and response characteristics and can be installed in any brand of golf equipment. "We are the first and only company to take golf club dynamics to a scientific level making 'feel' a definable and tunable parameter," said Lindner. BCG's approach goes way beyond simply bolting a weight to a golf club. BCG designs have been optimized through a proprietary parametric modal analysis technique to modulate the actual shape that the club deforms into when it vibrates. "Simply bolting a weight on a golf club with dumb luck does not achieve the same results," noted Lindner.

In fact, BCG's technologies were significant enough to earn them top honors at this year's PGA Merchandising Show. On January 29, 2005, BCG was awarded the International Network of Golf's (ING's) Industry Honors Awards in the Product Ingenuity - Emerging Company category at the Show in Orlando, Florida. Balance-Certified joined industry giants like Nike Golf and Taylor Made who won in other categories.
