SMT Golf takes the Futures Tour by storm

Oswego, IL - SMT Golf had what some would consider a pretty good day on the Futures Tour this past weekend. In one day, SMT Golf put 11 Drivers, 4 wedges, and 6 of their staff bags into play at The Quality Concepts Kankakee Futures Golf Classic in Kankakee, Illinois. Amazingly 11 Futures Tour Professionals decided to put down their major OEM drivers and put SMT drivers in their bag based on the increased performance they experienced both out on the range and during their practice rounds on Wednesday.

SMT not only put 11 drivers into play, they put them into the hands of some of the best players on the Futures Tour including the current #3 and #4 Money Earners.

"The response we got on the Futures Tour was amazing," said Mike Tait, President of SMT Golf. "Don't get me wrong, we expected to have some interest in our equipment...especially in our drivers. But to have 11 of these Tour Professionals put our product into play immediately after picking it up on a practice day was absolutely unbelievable. I couldn't believe it was happening. But so many of them were seeing such a huge improvement in both distance and accuracy that they couldn't put our clubs down for fear that someone else would pick them up. Usually the Tour players want to work with a new club for a couple of weeks before they use it in competition but the players that tried our equipment liked it so much better than what they were currently playing that they laid down their old drivers and put SMT drivers into play the very next day."

SMT Golf had 3 Top Ten Finishes at the event this past weekend and expects the interest in their equipment to continue to grow. "I had four calls and two e-mails Monday morning (the day after the event) from Futures Tour players looking for clubs," said Tait. "I can't wait to see what happens after next week's event...all I can say is stay tuned."

SMT Golf has been spreading like wildfire all over the Professional Golf Tours this season. Day in and day out, some of the best players in the world are switching to SMT equipment because it outperforms everything else on the market right now.

Dozens of players from the Futures, LPGA, Nationwide, PGA and Champions Tour contact SMT Golf each and every week. "I love taking those calls, said Tait. "Because I know the person on the other end of the phone is serious about improving their golf game. They're not looking for a check or an endorsement deal because they know we don't pay "tee it up" money to play our equipment. They've probably heard about us from another Tour player who uses our equipment and has seen a big improvement in their game. That's why they're calling. Seeing these Tour Professionals pass on the endorsement money that other companies are offering and play our equipment purely based on it's performance is the biggest compliment we could ever receive."
