The most prestigious golf amenity at the upscale residential Grande Dunes resort in Myrtle Beach, S. C., the facility features impeccable course conditioning, exceptional customer service and the ultimate private club experience.

The golf course, designed by PGA Hall of Fame and TOUR Champion Nick Price and award-winning golf course architect Craig Schreiner, is the only Nick Price course along the coast of North or South Carolina.

The Members Club at Grande Dunes is one of two championship layouts at Grande Dunes, a multi-billion dollar, master-planned community encompassing approximately 2,200 acres of prime coastal real estate in Myrtle Beach, S. C.

A limited number of homesites — all with significant setback restrictions — will be available at The Members Club at Grande Dunes. The gated community will feature just 176 home sites discreetly bordering eight holes on the front nine, and approximately 50 home sites along the Intracoastal Waterway. About The Course
The exclusive, private golf course is designed in a classic inland style and features wide, generous fairways. The front nine is a classic parkland style with tree-lined fairways, while the back nine offers a combination of links and parkland flavors. Many holes are carefully sculpted to create a natural feel in keeping with the architects’ philosophy of “least disturbance.”

At Par 71, the course measures 5,000 to 7,048 yards, and has L93 Bent grass greens built to USGA specifications. Tees and fairways are grassed with TifSport Bermuda, while the rough is 419 Bermuda, and Zoysia grass surrounds all bunkers.

“Our club has a very distinctive look and feel,“ notes Buccerone. “We cross-cut the tees just like many of the greatest golf venues. Our bunkers are filled with pearl-white Felspar Quartz sand — the same sand used at Augusta National. Our practice facility — which includes two large putting greens, as well as chipping and bunker areas— has a practice range designed and groomed to resemble actual playing conditions. When they play, our members and their guests will have the option of riding in a golf car, walking and carrying their own bags, or using our caddie program which offers both full service caddies and forecaddies.”

About The Clubhouse
The Italianate Clubhouse at The Members Club features a large rear veranda overlooking the 9th and 18th greens, and a lake with three individual islands lushly landscaped with native plants and trees. It houses a full-service golf shop, a “turnhouse” Bistro, casual grill, full service dining room, private members library with full bar and fireplace, and private board rooms for members’ use.

“We intend to provide our members and their guests with world-class service and the clubhouse is a big part of that,” says Buccerone. “Valet parking is provided. Our locker room amenities include showers and lounge areas for both men and women, as well as locker room attendants. And when a member brings a guest, we’ll provide the guest with a ‘daily’ locker.”
