ATLANTA—Srixon Z-UR golf balls continued with their rock steady performances, this time on the professional tours in Japan. Srixon Staff Professional Ryoken Kawagishi carded a tie for 2nd place at the Japan Golf Tour's Mitsubishi Diamond Cup Golf tournament at Higashihirono Golf Club in Hyogo. Kawagishi, who played with Srixon's Z-UR prototype golf ball, shot a 278, 3-under par total (70-70-71-67) for his third Top 2 of the season. He is now ranked 7th on the JGTO's Money List.

Meanwhile, Srixon Staff Professional Junko Omote came in solo second place after a playoff at the JLPGA's Kosaido Ladies tournament played at Chiba Kosaido Country Club in Ichihara. Omote, who played with Srixon's Z-UR golf ball, shot a 9-under par, 207 total (67-70-70).
