Tempur-Pedic International Inc. announces promotion featuring Amy Alcott

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Golf can be a tough sport leaving those who play with sore shoulders and an aching back - just ask LPGA Hall of Fame golfer Amy Alcott, but she's found relief at night thanks to her Tempur-Pedic Swedish Sleep System(R). In fact, the golfer loves her bed so much, she's endorsing Tempur-Pedic products in new advertisements for the Company.

Alcott will be featured in upcoming print ads. She will also appear in a direct mail campaign for Tempur-Pedic International Inc. Through the direct mail campaign, recipients have the opportunity to win free golf lessons by calling a designated 800 number. The promotion was developed through a partnership with the newly launched GOLFCHIX(TM) Radio Show airing on Saturdays in Los Angeles on XTRA Sports Radio 570-AM, in Palm Springs, Calif. on KPSI 920-AM and in Rochester, N.Y. on WHTK-AM. Alcott is a co-host.

"We're thrilled to have an opportunity to work with Amy Alcott. She's a fabulous golfer with a long list of career accomplishments," said Dany Sfeir, senior vice president of marketing. "We were excited to learn that she loves her Tempur-Pedic Swedish Sleep System, and we're proud to have her endorse our product."

Alcott originally qualified for the LPGA Tour in 1975 and earned "Rookie of the Year" honors that same year. Since that time, she's enjoyed a successful career winning 32 professional titles in all parts of the world, including five major championships. For these accomplishments, she was elected into the World Golf and LPGA Halls of Fame in 1999.

"I love my Tempur-Pedic. After a great night's rest, I have the mental edge that you need in the game of golf," says Alcott.
