PGA Learning Center of Port St. Lucie, Fla. - The PGA of America's 35-acre state-of-the-art golf park, will be a busy hub of activity, May 16-21, in celebrating PGA Free Lesson Month.
PGA Professionals will be providing free lessons from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reservations are filling quickly for the outstanding teaching/learning opportunity.
PGA Free Lesson Month marks its eighth consecutive year as golfers across the country receive a special opportunity to get introduced to golf or receive that special touch-up to their game through the aid of PGA Professionals.
The campaign is the result of a partnership between The PGA of America, Golf Digest, The Golf Channel, and Golf Digest's sister publication - Golf For Women. Nike Golf serves as the official sponsor for a second
"PGA Free Lesson Month provides you, the player, with a chance to develop or perpetuate a relationship with a PGA Professional," said PGA Director of Instruction Rick Martino. "We encourage you to come out and bring a friend, and/or family member and start a program for game improvement or get started in a game of a lifetime."
PGA Free Lesson Month is designed to help amateur golfers improve their skills and attract new players to the game. Throughout May, a record-breaking number of over 6,700 PGA Professionals will be offering free 10-minute golf lessons at more than 5,500 facilities nationwide. The PGA Professional participation surpasses the previous record of 2004 of 4,993 PGA Professionals, who provided more than 92,000 free lessons.
