FlightScope by EDH Sport in use by Fujikura

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - FlightScope by EDH Sport, a premier ball-flight monitor, now is being used by Fujikura, the #1 graphite shaft on the PGA Tour for the past four years. Fujikura Composites has been qualifying the FlightScope ball-flight monitor with excellent results. Top Fujikura dealers CMD Golf in Jupiter, Fla., Golf Stix in San Antonio and Hot Stix Technologies in Scottsdale, Ariz., also have been using
FlightScope technology with great success.

Pat McCoy, PGA Tour representative for Fujikura, said, "At the recent Zurich Classic of New Orleans I had outstanding success working with the club manufacturers utilizing FlightScope technology to assist in the fitting of the best players in the world.

"It's one thing using technology to fit the elite players on tour, but to be able to transfer that same technology to the 'real world' is truly exciting," McCoy said. "Recently I had the opportunity to work with a major club manufacturer and FlightScope personnel at a local member/guest tournament. We were able to put close to 100 players through the fitting process in a matter of hours, which is just incredible. More importantly, the club company ended up selling 77 golfers new clubs based on their FlightScope fitting experience."

FlightScope, in use at high-profile teaching academies and club-fitting venues around the world, is known for its ease of use as well as the precision and accuracy of its technology. Introduced at last year's PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla., the portable indoor-outdoor ball-flight monitor provided its technology to Golf Digest for use during some of the magazine's equipment testing sessions for its second annual "Hot List" published in its February 2005 edition. Multiple FlightScope systems now are in use at the Butch Harmon School of Golf at Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson, Nev. FlightScope technology also was installed last year at the PGA of America Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

FlightScope employs a Phase Array Tracking Sensor and proprietary technology to record accurately the trajectory and to provide actual launch data. The characteristic distinguishing FlightScope from existing launch monitor technology is that FlightScope is the only product in the world that can record the trajectory accurately in the precise environment in which the ball travels, thereby providing actual rather than implied data. The resultant ability of golfers, club fitters and instructors to see the actual ball trajectory at various angles allows them to make precise adjustments for enhanced performance.

"We are pleased that FlightScope is being used by Fujikura on tour and at venues worldwide to complement and highlight its advanced shaft technology," said Marc Solda, president of EDH Sport. "The fact that FlightScope is both extremely accurate and easy to use is being discovered by club fitters and teachers in increasing numbers."

EDH, founded in 1989 by Henri Johnson, an inventor and electronic engineer, is a product-development company based in Stellenbosch, near Cape Town in South Africa, with its U.S. office in Bethlehem, Pa. EDH, which develops products for the military and sports markets, has as its core expertise the design and development of 3D tracking radar systems. In 2003, the EDH Golf system was launched under the name "FlightScope."
