BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Golf Inc. magazine has named The Bonita Bay Group's David Lucas as one of the most influential golf course developers in the country. Lucas, board chairman of the Bonita Springs-based developer, was among 20 of the top developers, builders and landscape firms recognized during the magazine's Management and Development Conference in March.
Lucas was featured in Golf Inc.'s April 2005 issue, which lauded its 20 influential course developers as having "the resources, track record and vision to make golf developments a reality." The Bonita Bay Group presently operates 12 golf courses within six of its seven master-planned communities from Cape Coral to Naples. Its team of golf course designers includes some of the biggest names in golf - Tom Fazio, Arthur Hills, Bob Cupp, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, who is designing the company's 13th course for The Club at TwinEagles in Naples.
