Waterfall Country Club in Rabun County, GA., developed by Atlanta’s own J.T. Williams and Killearn, Inc., has begun construction on two major developments: The Lodge at Waterfall and Member Club Villas.
The Lodge will feature stunning panoramic views of Lake Burton, the Appalachian Mountains and several holes of Waterfall’s highly rated 18-hole golf course.
“This spectacular clubhouse will be comprised of great logs and lofty ceilings, timber-pegged floors and large boulder-like fireplaces throughout, all of which seem to grow out of the property itself,” said Atlanta architect Jim Chapman, principal of Chapman Coyle Chapman Architects.
Features of the 13,000 square-foot, two story $5 million Lodge will be two private dinning rooms, large den or family room, lake-view lounge, a main dinning room and a large deck with stone fireplace. Also, the first level of The Lodge will have an activity area for children, a movie theatre and efficiency suites for Waterfall interns and concierge employees.
“Our Waterfall property, and particularly The Lodge at Waterfall, are designed to be a subtle showcase for the natural beauty of Rabun County and North Georgia,” Williams said.
The Member Club Villas seasonal homes will serve as a great mountain retreat encompassing approximately 4,250 square-feet including a private courtyard, three bedrooms featuring a spacious master bedroom with Plasma TV, three bathrooms with an oversized Jacuzzi tub in the master bath and fully-equipped kitchen. Also included is a sunroom, three fire places including one on the large porch, built-in grill and covered parking spaces.
Forever limited to only 24 Club Villas, owners can enjoy more than three weeks every spring, summer and fall in their seasonal home with 24-hour concierge and daily housekeeping.
In addition, a Waterfall Country Club membership is included with the Villa ownership, which gives access to a 50,000 square-foot indoor sports center with a full service spa, junior Olympic indoor swimming pool and indoor tennis, volleyball / basketball court, walking track and golf practice facility.
The Club also has an 18-hole world-class golf course which was selected by Georgia Golf News as one of the five “Best of the Best” private courses in Georgia, joining such prestigious golf courses as Augusta National and Ocean Forest Club on Sea Island. Currently the club membership is valued at $45,000.
Initial prices will be $350,000 for a quarter interest in a Club Villa on the first floor, $360,000 for second floor villas and $375,000 for third floor villas. Architects for the Club Villas are also Chapman, Coyle and Chapman of Atlanta.
Since 1964, Killearn, Inc. has created such exceptional golf course communities as Golden Eagle and Killearn Estates in Tallahassee, Florida; Eagle’s Landing in Atlanta, and Waterfall and Kingwood in the mountains of Rabun County, Georgia.
