CARLSBAD, Calif. - Carbite Golf has appointed Softer Golf, S.L., of Madrid as its new, exclusive distributor for Spain and Portugal, Carbite President Bill Zebedee said.

"This appointment is an integral part of our aggressive sales and marketing plan," Zebedee says, "and we're delighted with our new association with Softer Golf. They are an outstanding organization, and they are already off to a fast start."

Zebedee explains. Carbite putters were the first to incorporate heel-and-toe tungsten weighting for optimal performance in off-center hits, with the ZG Mallet debuting in 1992.

Earlier this year, at the January PGA Show in Orlando, Carbite debuted five new putters, including the HCG (high center of gravity) Mallet; The Z Series (Blade and Mallet); the Lady Carbite, with special features and colors for lady golfers; and The Big Otey, based on the legend of fabled designer Otey Crisman.
