MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica - Sept. 30, 2004 – Half Moon Montego Bay, a 400-acre luxury resort with 419 rooms, including suites, cottages and villas is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The celebration will last till October 3.
According to the Managing Director of Half Moon Montego Bay, Richard Whitfield, the resort is once again teaming up with guests. He pointed out that four new guests had already checked in within a week after Hurricane Ivan swept over the island recently.
The famed luxury resort experienced only minimal effects following the hurricane and continues to be fully operational. "We are pleased that our guests are confident enough proceed with their vacations at Half Moon as they planned," Mr. Whitfield said. "We have been receiving calls from travel agents, tour operators, meeting planners and guests enquiring about the effects the hurricane had on the resort. We want to assure all our clients that we are open for business and continue to deliver the caliber service they've come to expect from Half Moon."
In addition to luxurious accommodations, Half Moon also offers championship golf, an equestrian center, dolphin lagoon, 13 tennis courts, water sports, spa, fitness facilities and much more.
