Tour Edge debuts Bazooka JMAX Carbon 460

The Bazooka Carbon 460 is a four-piece, forged beta titanium driver and offers the latest in carbon crown technology in a power-packed 460 cubic centimeter head. Helping to deliver long bombs that land in the fairway, the Carbon 460's massive head delivers the largest effective hitting area and sweet spot of any Tour Edge driver.

To help golfers get the most from their drives, the Carbon's 460cc head replaces the traditional titanium crown with a lighter carbon crown and shifts 20-grams of weight lower and deeper into the soleplate. This delivers a higher moment of inertia and improves the launch angle and spin rate for added distance and longer drives.

Hotter drives require the best in head materials and shafts. The Carbon 460 features premium forged Sumitomo Japan Hyper Beta Titanium that produces the maximum .830 COR as legislated by the the United States Golf Association. For added power, Tour Edge co-developed an exclusive JMAX graphite shaft with Fujikura, the #1 shaft maker on the PGA Tour. The ultra-light "hot release" design generates maximum power by optimizing the launch angle and spin rate for each driver.

The Carbon 460's advanced design technology is available in two models: "Draw" and "Neutral." The "Draw" is for those who want help controlling their fade or slice. The extra 20-grams of weight is positioned in heel of the sole. This weight combined with a more upright lie and slightly closed face helps eliminate fading and slicing.

The "Neutral" version is for the player who wants maximum workability and forgiveness. The extra 20-grams of weight is positioned in deep the sole and away from the face. This weight combined with the square face angle results in maximum forgiveness and deeper, longer drives from anywhere on the face.

The Bazooka JMAX Carbon has an estimated selling price of US$249.
