Mitchell Golf Equipment Institute completed another Club Repair Technician School April 27, 2005. Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute’s training schools have become more popular since moving to Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge in Orlando, Florida.
Ed Mitchell states, “We are extremely pleased with the response we are getting with our schools at our new campus. Mitchell® Club Repair Technician schools include instruction and hands-on experience in re-shafting, re-gripping and measuring & bending golf club angles. Students attend an extensive 3-day class related to all types of club repair. Classes include detailed lectures concerning club specifications and performance, followed by hands on experience in Mitchell® Golf’s state of the art club repair lab. Each attendee learns repair techniques necessary for today’s modern golf club designs including frequency matching golf shafts.

Paul Bessler and Jay Schrader, both PGA Professionals instruct the Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute schools. “Our recent class learned the skills necessary for performing re-shafting, re-gripping, loft/lie adjustments and all repair techniques for today’s modern golf clubs,” states Jay. “Our new graduates will make club repair a profit center in their shops. We are proud to have this group join our alumni of Mitchell® Club Repair Technicians.”
Students worked with recognized products from Mitchell® Golf Equipment Company, True Temper, KZ Golf, Rapport Composites, Swing Science, Grafalloy and Golf Pride. Mitchell® Club Repair Technician schools are held throughout the year with a tuition of $295.00. Tuition includes tools and supplies necessary for certification.
