SMT Golf unveiling new products at Spring ING Conference

Oswego, IL - SMT Golf announced that they will be unveiling their long awaited line of irons, wedges, and hybrids at the upcoming Spring ING Conference held at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida May 22nd thru the 26th. SMT Golf recently made the transition into a full line club manufacturer and in addition to manufacturing and selling club components, which they are best known for, are also now also selling completed clubs through various retailers across the nation. All of SMT’s new equipment will be unveiled for the first time at the ING Conference and on hand for media members to test during the Demo Lab held on May 24th. Mike Tait, President of SMT Golf, will also be in attendance to answer questions about the new products and the future of the company.

SMT’s Spectrum Driver, “The Longest Driver on any PGA Tour”, will be in attendance along with all of SMT’s new products for 2005. SMT Golf, the 4-Time RE/MAX World Long Drive Champions, will be introducing a brand new line of irons, hybrids, and wedges at the event.

303cb1 - 303cb2 - 303mb Irons
The 303cb1 is for the mid to high handicap golfer who needs the forgiveness of a full cavity back iron. The 303cb2 is a flex back design that provides average golfers with more feel and workability than the 303CB1 irons while still offering some degree of forgiveness on mishits. The 303mb Muscle Back iron is for the competitive player who needs the feel and workability of a classic blade to shape their shots and fire aggressively at the pin. All three models are made from soft 303 Stainless Steel and feature a CNC Milled face and machined grooves for increased playability and durability. The irons are co-designed by PGA Tour players Chip Beck and Victor Schwamkrug along with SMT Golf President, Mike Tait. SMT is offering a unique Mix-n-Match set of customized golf clubs that allow you to choose any combination of 303cb1 (full cavity back), 303cb2 (flex back) and 303mb (muscle back) irons according to your skill level.

Avocet Hybrid

SMT's new Avocet Hybrid is a game improvement club that features a unique radius bottom that makes it easy to get the ball into the air off of any surface. Available in lofts of 19, 23, and 26 degrees these stroke savers are a great replacement club for those who struggle with their long irons.

Durometer Wedges

SMT has introduced some very interesting new technology to the golf industry with the design of their brand new Durometer Wedges. Available in six different lofts from 59 to 69 degrees, these wedges feature a Shock Absorbing rubber insert or Durometer in the hosel of the club. The insert reduces vibration by 4% in the Tour Series and up to 14% in the Player Series.
