A must-attend educational event for golf-industry vendors

Laguna Beach, Calif. - Limited spots remain for the third annual "Marketing to the Golf Industry Workshop," sponsored by the Association of Private Clubs & Directors (APCD) and The BoardRoom magazine. This unique event was created with the sole purpose of educating vendors on the nuances of selling to management companies, private clubs (including equity clubs), privately owned public and municipal golf courses. It will be held June 12-13, 2005 at Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, Fla.

Unlike other events vendors attend throughout the year, this is not a trade show. This workshop provides two days of education designed to help their businesses prosper. Speakers include industry professionals and marketing experts, while panel discussions with management companies provide a fresh insight into the decision making process. Throughout this workshop, vendors will have the opportunity to network with colleagues and industry leaders.

On June 12, just prior to the start of the "Marketing to the Golf Industry Workshop," an awards luncheon will be held to honor winners of The BoardRoom magazine's "Excellence in Achievement Awards." The awards recognize vendors for overall excellence, achievements, innovation, vision for future growth and impact on club operations.

Later that day, the CMAA's Seminole Region and Jay DiPietro, Boca West's general manager, will host a dinner to benefit local children's charities. All workshop attendees are invited to attend this gala event where there is the opportunity to meet and interact with approximately 500 general managers, golf professionals, superintendents, board presidents and others. Winners of The BoardRoom magazine's "Excellence in Achievement Awards" will also be recognized on stage during this event.
