M.A.R.S. International to sponsor RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship

SOUTHLAKE, TX - M.A.R.S. International, which has more than 250 automotive reconditioning franchised Operators across the United States, has joined a growing list of sponsors associated with the 2005 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, Long Drivers of America (LDA) announced today.

Qualifying events for the 2005 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, the premier event in power golf, began in February and will continue throughout the spring and summer months. RE/MAX championship week unfolds at the Palms Golf Club in scenic Mesquite, Nevada on October 18-22.

At stake there will be a $450,000 purse and RE/MAX world titles in four adult divisions - open, women's, senior and super senior. The open division champion earns $100,000 and bragging rights as golf's biggest hitter.

M.A.R.S. International joins a list of sponsors that includes RE/MAX International (entering its second decade as title sponsor), Pinnacle, Cobra Golf, AccuFLEX shafts, Lamkin grips, and Antigua apparel. Other sponsors are the Mesquite Resort Association, Las Vegas Events, Golf Tips magazine and Mr. and Mrs. T's.

"We are very excited about the opportunities this sponsorship provides for M.A.R.S. on a local, regional, and national level," said Jayson Jones, M.A.R.S. President. "The relationship we have formed with Long Drivers of America will contribute to the effort we are making to take M.A.R.S. to the next level."

Art Sellinger, LDA's owner and chief executive officer, welcomed M.A.R.S. International to the mix of marketing partners associated with the premier event in power golf. "We plan to educate long drive competitors and fans about the exceptional business opportunities that exist within the M.A.R.S. network," Sellinger said. "We'll use our national TV broadcast, highly traveled website and numerous local qualifying events to identify potential customers and franchisees. We believe the breadth of this long drive sponsorship will create an effective and successful platform for our newest partner."

M.A.R.S. International, based in Arlington, Texas, is the national leader in the quality cosmetic appearance reconditioning business.

"There are many aspects of this sponsorship package that provide us with opportunities to promote our Operators at a local level, but also promote the M.A.R.S. brand in a high visibility, national venue," said Donovan Hall, M.A.R.S. executive vice president.

"It will be great to see our M.A.R.S. Operators attending the local qualifying events, meeting the RE/MAX contestants, and promoting their services," said Mel Luigs, chief operating officer. "With over 350 RE/MAX local qualifying events, most of our Operators will be able to get involved at some level. We expect many of our Operators' customers to participate in the M.A.R.S. International Golf Tournament, which will take place in Mesquite during RE/MAX championship week in October."
