Champion's Tour standout Tom Jenkins increased his winnings to $3,809,619.85 with Balance-Certified Golf's Pro-Balance shaft weighting system installed in his putter. He finished 2nd at last week's Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf Tour event using Balance-Certified Golf's (BCG's) technology. In fact, he has used BCG's system exclusively since April 2002, racking up 3 Champions Tour wins, 32 top tens, and 59 top twenty-fives.
Jeff Lindner, Balance-Certified Golf's President, noted that, "We are extremely pleased with Tom's performance this weekend. We are elated that Tom can continuously perform at such a high level. He is constantly at the top of the leader board and is a great spokesman for our technologies." Jenkins added, "Anyone that uses this will see and feel dramatic improvements in their game. With Balance-Certified on board, I sink more putts." He currently plays a BCG Pro-Balance equipped Big Oak Putters/Dave Curry Designs T'ville putter that has been dynamically tuned using BCG's proprietary "Enhanced Modal OptimizationTM" (EMOTM) process. Jenkins endorses BCG's products and serves as a Technical Advisor to the company, along with PGA veteran Scott Hoch.
VP of BCG's Marketing Program and Head of Tour Activities John Cranston described the Legends event as "extremely successful." While providing technical support for BCG's products at the event, Cranston installed 15 units in various players' clubs. "We have just about given up trying to keep up with who is playing our technology. We have installed hundreds of units on Tour and we just cannot keep track of all the players that use our system," said Cranston.
BCG's former NASA engineering team first pioneered their Pro-Balance shaft tuning system in 1999 and has made it available to Tour players for several years. The Pro-Balance line introduces strategically located weights that can be used to adjust a golf club's vibration and response characteristics and can be installed in any brand of golf equipment. "We are the first and only company to take golf club dynamics to a scientific level making 'feel' a definable and tunable parameter," said Lindner. In fact, BCG's technologies were significant enough to earn them top honors at this year's PGA Merchandising show. On January 29, 2005, BCG was awarded the International Network of Golf's (ING's) Industry Honors Awards in the Product Ingenuity - Emerging Company category at the PGA Merchandising show in Orlando, Florida. Balance-Certified joined industry giants like Nike Golf and Taylor Made who won in other categories.
In independent testing by such notables as www.equip2golf.com and PGA Tour Partners, BCG's systems have been shown to deliver increased ball speed in drivers, increased control of iron play and a tangible benefit in "feel" and distance control of putters. Dubbed the "Best Invention for Serious Golfers," at the 2004 PGA show by noted golf writer James Achenbach of Golfweek, the product has shown a steady rise in consumer acceptance. The company's dealer network has increased by over 100% with international sales growing rapidly as well.
