Whistler swings into spring with an early start to the golf season

Whistler, B.C. - Early spring weather together with outstanding golf course conditions have prompted the Whistler golf courses to get an early start to the season. On April 16 Big Sky Golf and Country Club kicked off the season. The Whistler Golf Club opens on April 29 and Nicklaus North Golf Course and The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club are expecting to open by May 6.

"Mild weather has melted the snow on our golf courses unusually early this year," says Dean Larsen, Chair of Golf Whistler and Director of Sales and Marketing for Big Sky Golf and Country Club. "This gave our teams the opportunity to get out on the greens earlier than normal to start getting them ready for the spring. The courses are in great shape and we are all looking forward to an exciting season ahead."

The 2005 Whistler golf season is indeed proving to be more exciting and
affordable than ever before with a host of value priced events, packages
