(SOUTH SALEM, New York) – Since its official launch at January’s PGA Merchandise Show where the new Heavy Putter was the buzz, the company continues to expand its veteran sales team with the appointment of five account executives to key territories.
The new hires servicing merchandiser accounts are Ames Hogan (Georgia, Alabama, Florida Panhandle), Jeff Castine (Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia), Alan Rodysill (South Texas), Kip Cordisco (Maryland, Delaware, DC, Virginia) and Steve Knirsch (Southern California).
In March, Heavy Putter appointed sales representatives Greg Gersen (Pacific Northwest), Steve Jess and Rob Hesler (Southern California), Ed Riordan (New Jersey, Eastern PA), John Karp (Indiana, Southern Ohio), Blair Subry (Illinois, Wisconsin) and Kirk Leazier (Arizona, New Mexico, Las Vegas).
“We are thrilled to add extremely high-quality professionals to our sales team,” says Steve Boccieri, President of Heavy Putter. “This reinforces that the Heavy Putter has become the preferred equipment on the market for everyday golfers, as well as Club and TOUR professionals, to sink more putts.”
The popularity of the Heavy Putter – weighing 90 percent more than standard putters – is extremely high after receiving critical acclaim for its innovation from representatives of Sports Illustrated, USA Today, U.S. News & World Report, Robb Report, Popular Science, The Golf Channel, all major, national golf magazines, regional golf media and Top 25 daily newspapers. In addition, the Heavy Putter has realized a sharp increase in usage on the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours the past two months.
The standard Heavy Putter total weight of 885 grams (roughly two pounds) – the heaviest among U.S.G.A-conforming putters – whereas conventional putters average 490 grams (roughly one pound). A heavy-mass putter head and an unprecedented Weight Management System, consisting of a heavy upper-shaft insert and interchangeable tip weights, create a balance point 75 percent higher than conventional putters. The three Heavy Putter models introduced:
A3 – blade-style head with a heel mounted, double-bend shaft configuration
B1 – mallet-style head with a center-mounted shaft
B3– mallet-style head with a heel-mounted, double-bend shaft
Various standard, mid- and long-putter lengths are available for men and women in both right- and left-handed models. MSRP is from $259. Contact: 888-PUTTER4, info@heavyputter.com , www.heavyputter.com .
Three additional models are planned for production later this year.
The Heavy Putter represents a radical step in putter concept, design and technology, and is touted by professional golfers, industry executives and media as the first new putter in decades that can revolutionize golf. They liken it to the paradigm shift that occurred with the advent of metal woods, the Prince tennis racket and parabolic skis – innovations that changed how a sport is played.
More About The Heavy Putter
Heavy Putter, L.L.C., based in South Salem, NY, incorporates the highest-quality, advanced-design principles in all putters:
-- CNC Milled out of 303 Stainless Steel, a very soft metal that creates a soft putting feel.
-- Perimeter heel-to-toe weighting – creating a high Moment of Inertia, a scientific trend popular in today’s putter designs – resists twisting, producing straighter, more accurate putts that reach the hole
-- Face-balanced heads allow the putter head to naturally find its center (square its face) at impact.
-- The diamond-cut face pattern optimizes the golf ball’s roll and imparts a soft feel directly following impact
-- The “Surround Sight” semi-circle alignment aid – exclusive to the Heavy Putter – located directly behind the face, promotes consistency on center hits. This results in a tighter deviation of impact on the sweet spot versus a traditional putter with a line or dot alignment mark.
-- The unique channel formed between the heel and toe weights on both blade and mallet putters promote a visual track to the target
