The Belfrey International nearing completion

Henrietta, N.Y. - The Belfrey International golf club will soon see its completion thanks to a new owner. Developer Tom O'Meara of Carmel, California recently purchased The Belfrey in Henrietta, New York, located just outside of Rochester. As a recognized expert of golf course development and operation, O'Meara brings a wealth of hands-on expertise and a track record of success to the development.

Along with the new ownership, the long-awaited grand opening of the Dave Thomas-designed Belfrey golf course is scheduled for summer 2005, when the first nine holes will be completed. The entire course is scheduled for completion by July 15, 2005. The course will feature waterfalls, ponds, rolling hills, breathtaking vistas and a true test of golf.

Thomas, a successful professional golfer in Europe who played on four Ryder Cup teams, is the designer of two courses at the Belfrey in England, which is not only the home of past Ryder Cup matches, but also will serve as the sister club to The Belfrey International in Henrietta.

New owner O'Meara, who will see Thomas' design to completion, has over 26 years of experience in banking, real estate, golf course innovation and community development. Tom is also the visionary behind one of California's newest developments, the world-class Running Horse Golf & Country Club in Fresno, CA. O'Meara is also president of Cypress Investment Corporation, a leading lender in high-end golf developments that has successfully served developers and homeowners throughout the U.S.
