OSWEGO, Ill. - SMT Golf is pleased to announce that Nationwide Tour player Keoke Cotner will now be playing their Nemesis driver on the Nationwide Tour.
"I first met Keoke at The LaSalle Bank Open," said Mike Tait, President of SMT Golf. "He expressed an interest in our drivers based on the success Victor was having with it on Tour." SMT Golf Staff Professional Victor Schwamkrug is currently Ranked #1 in Driving Distance, with an amazing 323.1 yard average and also holds the record for this years' Longest Drive in a Nationwide Tour event at 404 yards, which also happens to be the longest drive recorded in any PGA Tour event this year.
Cotner is currently ranked in the Top 50 on the money list on the Nationwide Tour and had an impressive 2nd Place finish at the Rheem Classic held earlier this year.
In addition to playing the Nemesis driver, Cotner will be carrying an SMT Staff bag and wearing SMT's shirt and hat during Tour events.
"Keoke is a very talented player and we're proud to have him playing our driver and wearing our logo on the Nationwide Tour," said Tait. "Let's face it, these guys can play any club they want out there and there are a lot of incentives being offered by the major manufacturers to play their clubs. For Keoke to choose to play our driver instead is a huge compliment. We're really building some momentum right now. I've taken over a dozen calls from Tour players in the last week or so. They're amazed at how much more distance and accuracy they can get by using our drivers. All I can say is stay tuned…
I don't think it will be very long before you hear about more and more players putting our clubs into play out there on the Tour."
With hundreds of LDA and individual tour wins and 4 Re/Max World Long Drive Championships under its belt, SMT Golf has quickly earned a reputation for making the best quality drivers in the golf industry. Whether you're at the top of the leader board in Driving Distance on The Nationwide Tour, like Victor Schwamkrug, or a 15 handicapper who just plays occasionally on the weekends, SMT has a driver that can help you hit the ball longer and straighter than anything else on the market right now.
