While Sunday tickets for the 87th PGA Championship are virtually sold-out, officials from the PGA of America have announced that weekly and practice round tickets remain available to see golf's greatest field of International players compete for the coveted Wanamaker Trophy. The PGA Championship, the last leg of golf's Grand Slam, returns to New Jersey for the first time in 63 years, and tickets can be purchased online at www.pga2005.com
For New Jerseyans, as well as golf and sports enthusiasts from the entire Tri-State area, this will be one of the largest major sporting events to come through the Garden State, ever. It's a spectator's dream as it will be the first time Tiger Woods will play competitive golf in New Jersey, while competing against an incomparable field of more Top 100 World ranked players than any other golf Major. As the 2005 Masters Champion, Woods will come to Baltusrol having added a 9th Major championship to his career record, and as he continues his assault on Jack Nicklaus' record setting 18 Major championships.
Ironically, the Lower Course at Baltusrol is the sight of two of Nicklaus' Major championships, including the 1967 and 1980 US Opens. Moreover, 2005 also marks the 25th Anniversary of two of Nicklaus' Major victories, the 1980 PGA Championship and the 1980 US Open.

During its 109-year history, Baltusrol Golf Club has hosted 15 national golf championships, including seven US Open Championships, four US Amateur Championships, two Women's US Open Championships and two US Women's Amateur Championships. The championships at Baltusrol, which have been some of golf's most memorable, are highlighted by the great Jack Nicklaus who captured two major championships at Baltusrol.
The PGA Championship is one of four premier golf events conducted by the PGA of America. Others include the Ryder Cup Matches, the Senior PGA Championship and the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, which brings together winners of golf's four major championships. Since 1916, golf's best professionals have been competing for the PGA Championship's coveted Wanamaker Trophy. Past champions include Tiger Woods, Davis Love III, Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead and Walter Hagen, among others.
