Richard Williams joins Scottsdale Golf Group

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- Scottsdale Golf Group announces the appointment of Richard Williams, as general manager of Legend Trail Golf Club, one of Arizona's premiere golf clubs featuring bent grass greens and state of the art amenities. In his new position, Williams is responsible for directing the property's overall operation and setting standards for the course in quality, customer service and profitability. He is also in charge of administering corporate policies and maintaining a strong, cohesive team of employees.

"Rick's comprehensive background as a professional golfer and instructor, combined with his demonstrated success in managing golf resorts makes him an ideal fit at Legend Trail," says Shelby Futch, president and chief executive officer, Scottsdale Golf Group. "His skills and experience are tremendous assets for our current and future management goals."

With more than 20 years of professional experience in golf, luxury resorts and country club operations, Williams brings to his new position a thorough knowledge-base of overall facility management. His background highlights an expertise in personnel supervision, tournament promotion, merchandising, advertising and marketing, policy development and implementation, as well as budgeting and forecasting expenses and revenues.

"Since so many years of my career have been spent on beautiful golf courses in Arizona, I feel at home at Legend Trail and look forward to the opportunities that accompany my new position as general manager," Williams said.

Prior to joining Legend Trail, Williams served as director of golf at Legacy Golf Resort, where he managed all golf operations and golf course maintenance services for the 328 all-suite, full-service golf resort. Previously, he served as vice president of Traditions in Corporate Golf, a professional golf travel management company. He also worked as general manager of Half Moon Bay Golf Links in California.
