FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Construction has begun on Pine Canyon’s spectacular 35,000 square foot clubhouse that will offer a wide range of amenities and breathtaking views of two beautiful lakes, the 18th fairway and the 19th hole.
Designed by the architectural firm of Marsh and Associates, construction is expected to be complete by the summer of 2006.
Among the amenities are a pro shop, sumptuously appointed men’s and women’s locker rooms and lounges, a state-of-the-art fitness center and spa, private dining room, mixed-grill restaurant, club bar, wine cellar and tasting room. The restaurant will offer both indoor and outdoor dining.
The fully equipped fitness center also will include an aerobics room, men’s and women’s steam rooms and whirlpools and complete locker room facilities.
Marsh and Associates designed the two-story clubhouse to blend perfectly with the elegantly rustic environment of the 650-acre Pine Canyon residential mountain community through its exterior of Telluride stone, slate and metal roofing.
The rugged, mountain-lodge ambiance will continue inside with stone flooring and vaulted ceilings of heavy exposed timber trusses.
Members and their guests will be embraced by many cozy gathering places and warmed by a monumental four-sided fireplace in the Great Room Lounge. A tall, timber-covered breezeway will guide visitors to a cascading water feature that flows down through the many outdoor terraces.
"The clubhouse is an extension of the homes and the lifestyle at Pine Canyon," said Pine Canyon President John Beerling. "Our goal was to carry the rustic elegance of the home designs to the clubhouse to ensure a consistently warm and comfortable place to relax, meet friends and simply enjoy life."
Pine Canyon living is highlighted by homesites with remarkable views of the Jay Morrish-designed golf course and the San Francisco Peaks. Creekside Village homes feature Telluride stone exteriors, rugged timber-frame construction, carriage-house style garage doors and period detailing.
Pine Canyon also offers a fine selection of expertly crafted custom homes that are available for immediate move-in.
Pine Canyon Golf Club membership is optional.
