Spring time fits Golden Horseshoe’s “Sweater Weather” discount packages

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The “No Jackets Required” sign has been posted at
the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club at Virginia’s historic Colonial Williamsburg.

Golfer-friendly weather, a year-round complement to the resort’s two
award-winning golf courses, means that argyle sweaters are both a
stylish fashion statement and fit perfectly with the Golden Horseshoe’s
“Sweater Weather” discount packages.

So, pull out the cardigans, pullovers, and vests, and take advantage of
an incredible offer that includes accommodations at one of five Colonial
Williamsburg Hotels, one round of golf on the nationally acclaimed Gold
or Green Courses and unlimited range balls.

If you need a new sweater, the package also includes a 15 percent
discount on logo sweaters.

Talk about the perfect fit!

Available through March 17, 2005, the new “Sweater Weather” package
offers several options for accommodations priced per person, per night:

· $99 for the Woodlands Hotel & Suites
· $129 for Colonial Houses (25 restored and reconstructed 18th-century
homes)
· $159 for Providence Hall at the Williamsburg Inn
· $219 for a deluxe room at the Williamsburg Inn’s historic main
building

The Golden Horseshoe Golf Club (www.GoldenHorseshoeGolf.com) offers a
pair of 18-hole gems: the Gold Course, originally designed by the famed
Robert Trent Jones Sr. and renovated by his son Rees Jones (6,817 yards from
the championship tees), and the Green Course, a Rees Jones laytout
(7,120-yards from the tips) selected by Golf Digest as one of its five best new
resort courses.
The Golden Horseshoe Golf Club recently was named a “Gold Medalist” in
GOLF Magazine’s bi-annual ranking of golf resorts in the U.S. – a
considerable honor since only 25 golf resorts in the nation received this
recognition. The facility also was recognized as a Golf Digest Five Star Course and
one of the magazine’s “Best Places to Play.”

The nine-hole Spotswood Course, also designed by the late Robert Trent
Jones Sr., rounds out the Golden Horseshoe’s magnificent golf setting.

Founded in 1926 the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is the
not-for-profit educational institution that operates the restored 18th-century capital
of Virginia. The foundation also operates five hotels that include the
Williamsburg Inn, Colonial Houses Historic Lodging, Williamsburg Lodge
and Conference Center (currently under renovation), Woodlands Hotels &
Suites, and the Governor’s Inn, conference facilities, nine restaurants and the
Golden Horseshoe Golf Club. Revenue generated supports the foundation’s
educational programs and preservation.

Williamsburg is located 150 miles south of Washington, D.C., off
Interstate 64.
