Prestigious Ross Award to Highlight 2005 ASGCA Annual Meeting

The Donald Ross Award, ASGCA's highest honor, will be presented at the Ross Banquet on April 18, at The Lodge at Pebble Beach Resorts. The recognition is made annually to an individual who has made significant contributions to the golf industry and the profession of golf course architecture. Singleton is a pioneer in irrigation, having worked for Toro since the 1960s. The golf industry, particularly those professionals in golf course design, construction and maintenance, have benefited for decades from his expertise in making architects' creative ideas mesh with the technological realities of golf course construction.

The ASGCA Annual Meeting is held in significant golf destinations across North America and provides a venue for architects and golf industry leaders to focus on current issues. Additionally, leaders from the Urban Land Institute, USGA Green Section and the federal government will present talks focusing on golf and real estate development. Several ASGCA members and golf industry professionals will also lead panel discussions on golf course design and construction.
