300C hole-in-one prize at Marine's Memorial Classic

When Andrew Torres died of cancer last April, at the age of 23, he left behind friends from every walk of life. Now his classmates, all young adults in their early 20's, have asked their parents, relatives and employers to support the first annual 2nd Lt. Andrew Torres Memorial Golf Classic, to be held on April 18th at the La Canada Flintridge Country Club.

The event got a boost last week from Liz Rusnak, who saw a poster for the event in at a dry cleaners in La Canada. Rusnak contacted the committee and offered to provide a
hole-in-one prize vehicle, the new high performance sedan, Chrysler's "car of
the year" - the elegant Chrysler 300C. To complete this unique program, Rusnak
Chrysler Jeep Dodge will bring the 300C and other Chrysler models to the
tournament, for golfers and guests to examine. Chrysler will make a cash
donation for every test drive of the vehicle.

The Torres Golf Classic will be held at the La CaƱada Country Club. Tickets for
individual golfers will cost $225.00, which includes lunch and dinner. A limited
number of dinner-only tickets will be available for $60.00. There will be a
silent auction. The proceeds from the golf classic will go to an ongoing cancer
research project at Huntington Medical Research Institutes in Pasadena,
California.
