LAKE MARY, FL. – March 19, 2005 – Three topics involving golf instruction have been added to the list of choices for the Communications 101 Topics Breakfast at the 15th Annual ING Spring Conference, set for May 22-26 at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, FL.
“The Mental Game,” “Teaching & Technology,” and “Teaching Women The Basics Of Golf,” are three of the 15 topics to be discussed at the May 23 breakfast. Experts in each field will lead discussions about the basics of each topic. The Communications 101 Topics Breakfast is a new element for the annual gathering of media and golf industry leaders.
Anyone in the golf industry and media is encouraged to participate in this 15th anniversary conference being hosted by the Renaissance Resort. Over 200 are expected.
The International Network Of Golf, a 15-year-old, non-profit media-based networking organization whose mission is to enhance and promote communication and education in golf, conducts the ING Spring Conference.
Leading the discussion on “Teaching Women The Basics Of Golf” will be Debbie Steinbach, President of Venus Golf. Steinbach, a former LPGA Tour player, has quickly risen toward the top of the chart of golf instructors with her entertaining style. She recently completed a golf instruction book - “Venus On The Fringe” - and she is a much sought after speaker.
Dr. Tom Ferraro of Williston Park, NY, is a renowned author and speaker on the subject of the mental side of golf. His expertise helps golfers better manage their games on the course and their lives off it. His discussion will touch on the basics of improving your golf experience through positive thinking.
Technology has changed the way most instructors go about teaching the game of golf. Launch monitors, video equipment and other instruments allow instructors to pinpoint exact needs of golfers of all skill levels. David Rankin, CEO of AccuSport, a longtime ING member, will lead this discussion on how the technology works, and what the average golfer can expect to gain from the new age equipment.
