Master designer Tad Moore joins Cosmo Golf

(Sept. 17, 2004)- Recognized worldwide as one of the games most gifted club designers, Tad Moore has joined forces with Saskatoon-based Cosmo Golf for a new line of products for the Elite Club Fitter Market.

Widely credited with being the first designer to use the milling process to streamline the faces of putters — a process used by several of today’s mainstream putter manufacturers — Moore joins Cosmo after a lengthy involvement with the former Dunlop/Maxfli/Slazenger Corporation.

Moore also designed the driver used by Sean “The Beast” Fister to win a Re/Max World Long Driving Competition in the early 1990’s and recently helped Srixon launch a line of Srixon metal woods with low-spin technology.

In the past few months Moore had been working diligently on a new club line for Dunlop but a shift in that company’s position forced Moore to resign and part ways with Dunlop.

Once learning that Moore was available, Cosmo Golf was quick to sign him.

“We’re very excited to have brought Tad on board to design clubs for us,” said Cosmo Golf’s director of marketing, Rick Harris.

“He’s a genius when it comes to designing anything from woods, to irons to wedges and putters. Tad is known an innovator and that’s the element we want to bring in even greater measure to our Physics line.”

Moore says he is pleased to have joined forces with one of the fastest-growing golf companies in North America.

“I’m excited to be taking on a fresh challenge,” said Moore, “and I look forward to working with the Team at Cosmo Golf Canada to create an exceptional line of clubs.”
