Hippo Golf Congratulates Staff Player Ian Woosnam

VISTA, CA. – March 11, 2005 – Hippo Golf Company, manufacturer of premium golf products at affordable prices, congratulates staff player Ian Woosnam on his appointment as captain of Europe’s 2006 Ryder Cup Team.

Woosnam, who has played on nine European Ryder Cup Teams since 1983, has been a key figure in Hippo’s staff player roster since 1994. He was re-signed as a Hippo staff player in February of 2004, and continues to work closely with the company to promote its products and to help with future technical innovations. Additionally, the lead up to the 2006 Ryder Cup with Woosnam as captain will provide lots of visibility and recognition for Hippo Golf, Europe’s number one golf brand.

Hippo’s design team had the benefit of working with Woosnam during the development of the ITX 2 Driver, Fairway Woods, Utility Clubs and Irons. “I am really looking forward to continue working with Hippo on product design,” continued Woosnam.

As a Hippo staff player, Woosnam will work with Hippo over the next few years to develop and use Hippo irons, carry a Hippo bag and wear Hippo headwear. He will also be used in advertising and endorsements.
