Mitchell Golf Institute certifies 12 graduates

ORLANDO, FL – March 10, 2005 – Mitchell Golf Equipment Institute certified twelve “Club Repair Technicians” Thursday March 3, 2005. The Mitchell Golf Equipment Institute’s training schools are located at Orange County National Golf Resort & Lodge in Orlando, Florida.

The students attended an extensive 3-day class related to all types of club repair. Mitchell Club Repair Technician schools include instruction and hands-on experience in re-shafting, re-gripping and measuring & bending golf club angles. Classes include detailed lectures concerning club specifications and performance, followed by student work in Mitchell Golf’s state of the art club repair lab. Each attendee learned repair techniques necessary for today’s modern golf club designs including frequency matching golf shafts.

Paul Bessler and Jay Schrader, both PGA Golf Professionals instruct the Mitchell Golf Equipment Institute schools. “Our recent class developed the skills necessary to be a Certified Club Repair Technician,” states Paul Bessler. “The hands-on repairs the students completed during class makes them capable of performing re-shafting, re-gripping, loft/lie alteration or any other repair on all of today’s modern golf clubs. I am confident all of our new graduates will make club repair a profit center in their shops. We are proud to have this great group join our alumni of Mitchell Club Repair Technicians.”

Students worked with recognized products from Mitchell Golf Equipment Company, True Temper, KZ Golf, Rapport Composites, Swing Science, Grafalloy and Golf Pride. Mitchell Club Repair Technician schools are held throughout the year with a tuition of $295.00. Tuition includes tools and supplies necessary for certification.
