Uplink's CMS ranks high with Golf Course Owners

AUSTIN, Texas – March 9, 2005 - UpLink Corporation, the industry leader in golf course management applications, helping courses realize increased profitability from innovative sponsorship programs, integrated tournament management support, and revolutionary golf car monitoring and management systems sponsored the NGCOA's annual golf outing to attendees of the Golf Industry Show held Feb. 10-12, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. A total of 268 attendees played Disney's Osprey Ridge and Eagle Pines' golf course, which uses UpLink's Course Management System (CMS).

Golfers enthusiastically commented on the outing and provided feedback from a golfer survey that asked questions pertaining to their experience with the UpLink system. Among the research highlights:

• 85% said that using UpLink improved their golfing experience.

• 92% said that they could justify increasing their green fees to provide their golfers with UpLink. Among those who were specific, the average increase was $3.08

• 93% stated that UpLink/Vision Perfect's on-car scoring can improve the value of an outing/tournament.

• 96% said that they believe that they could charge more for an outing/tournament with UpLink's on-car scoring, on-car leaderboard, and VP's tournament management software. The average increase was $3.35

• 70% considered the impact of the sponsor ads to be positive thus providing the course with an additional source of revenue potential

• 70% remembered the sponsors' names.

At the outing, golfers were able to experience the integration of UpLink's Course Management System and Vision Perfect's tournament management software featuring the on-car scoring and live leaderboard updating. Golfers were able to enter their scores on the electronic scorecard and view the updated leaderboard from their car. Vision Perfect's tournament management software enabled the course to easily handle 59 last minute changes to the tournament roster and eliminate the need to gather scores at the end of the outing. Mike Tinkey, Deputy Director of the NGOA states, "the golfers were very fond of the integrated tournament support from Vision Perfect and UpLink, particularly the leader board. We are proud to expose our Owners to business solutions that can contribute to the overall success of their golf operations and this outing was a great venue to showcase the course management system's 'best practices'."

As part of the outing, hole sponsors were able to have crisp and colorful electronic ads on the UpLink Graphical Screen. In addition, AdLink, a proprietary software program that works in conjunction with the AdSmart sponsorship program, eliminated the cost of placing sponsor signs on the tees. According to Chris Buffum, Director of AdSmart Programs, "not having to run to the course and place the sponsorship and contest hole signs on the appropriate holes saved significant labor by both the course and sponsors. Because the UpLink System displays the sponsors on the golf car units, there are no signs on tee boxes and the saved man-hours gave the course extra time to attend to their guests."

About UpLink

UpLink is headquartered in Austin, Texas with regional offices throughout the U.S. UpLink's product line consists of the Advantage Golf Course Management System and ViewPoint, a sophisticated entry level GPS system. Both are designed to lower acquisition costs by providing the tools that can increase revenue, reduce costs and improve customer service (attract and retain golfers).

In particular, advertising and sponsorships on the golf car mounted GPS display units (Caddy), is considered the largest single untapped source of revenue available to courses today. UpLink's two product lines enable courses to take full advantage of this revenue stream through the advertising and promotion power built into both systems. UpLink's founders developed the patent that enables GPS on golf courses and UpLink owns the exclusive rights to the patents that permit advertising and sponsorships on all GPS systems used on golf courses and golf facilities.
