Cobra Golf introduces new King Cobra C Wedge line

FAIRHAVEN, MA. – March 8, 2005 – Cobra Golf, a market leader with a reputation for innovation in the metals and iron categories, takes short game technology to a new level with the introduction of its new King Cobra C Wedge line.

Designed to fit a wide range of golfers, the C Wedge series consists of Mid-Sole (MS) and Wide-Sole (WS) options. The Mid-Sole C Wedges offer a balance of forgiveness, soft feel and versatility and are available in five different lofts (50, 52, 54, 56, 60 degrees), while the Wide-Sole wedges come in three different lofts (56, 58, 60 degrees) and feature a wider sole width for increased bounce and even more forgiveness.

With the new wedge family, Cobra is staying true to its blueprint for success of making the game more enjoyable for all golfers by offering quality, performance and innovative technology-based products.

“The new C Wedges are a continuation of the momentum Cobra Golf has enjoyed following the successful introductions of our drivers and fairway metals, as well as our new Inertia Series iron family,” said Jeff Harmet, President, Cobra Golf. “The C Wedges are designed with wider sole widths to promote greater forgiveness and versatility vs. traditional muscle back wedges and complement today’s wider sole irons. These wedges offer the combination of a classic look and feel with cavity back performance benefits.”

The slightly oversized body of the new King Cobra C Wedge line is constructed from 431 Stainless Steel and features an undercut design with perimeter weighting. The design helps position the weight low and in the back of the clubhead for a low center of gravity (CG) and high Moment of Inertia (MOI). The result is a larger Sweet Zone, and improved accuracy, forgiveness and control. A vibration dampening urethane insert provides superior feel.

King Cobra C Wedges are available with True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts and feature a Cobra/Golf Pride Tour Velvet 50D grip. All wedges are available in both right and left hand.
