MacGregor’s new MACTEC NVG fairway woods recognized

ALBANY, GA – March 2, 2005 – MacGregor Golf's new MACTEC NVG fairway woods are recognized for breakthrough technology in the February issue of Golf World UK. The Magazine names MACTEC NVG fairway woods the #1 "Hot Gear for 2005" describing the MACTEC NVG fairway woods as "one of the most technologically-advanced products on the market."

Golf World also sets the record straight on the development of screw-weight technology. Golf World writes, "if you thought TaylorMade was the first company to introduce this idea with its r7 and r5 drivers last year then you were wrong. MacGregor actually unveiled the technology three years ago in Japan. No surprises then that they were the best-selling products in the Asia market last year."

"MACTEC NVG fairway woods represent several first-to-market technologies, including the world's first dual density cupface structure with a Titanium hosel, and a swing speed enhancing Triple-Action shaft technology" commented Barry Schneider, owner and CEO of MacGregor Golf. "These advanced technologies deliver a substantially larger hitting area for lots of forgiveness and distinctive driver-like distance. We are honored to win this global product review competition."

MacGregor introduced MACTEC NVG drivers and fairway woods at the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida. MACTEC NVG drivers are available now and the fairway woods will be available at leading off-course retailers and green grass pro shops in early March.
