ORLANDO, Fla. – March 2, 2005 – C-Thru Grips from Golf Pride came away a winner at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay in Kahuku, Hawaii. The tournament champion, who led throughout the event and finished with an 8-under 208 for a two-stroke victory Feb. 26 at the Palmer course, used a C-Thru Grips putter grip featuring her home country, the Philippines, to secure her second LPGA Tour win.
"Congratulations to the winner of the SBS Open and the two top-ten finishers who sported C-Thru Grips on their woods and wedges during the tournament," said Mickey Novak, founder of C-Thru Grips. "We commend them for their outstanding level of play throughout the event."
Last year, over 150 PGA Tour players used C-Thru grips, and there also were multiple wins on the LPGA and European Tours by players carrying C-Thru Grips. On the collegiate level, C-Thru Grips, which are used by over 300 college and university golf teams nationwide, had a number of wins at various national collegiate Championships last year.
In addition to putter grips, C-Thru Grips now offers full-swing grips in an array of designs. Also available is the C-Thru Grips kit, containing a complete set of grips, one for every club in the bag. In addition, introduced at the PGA Merchandise Show in January were the Fashion Design Series, the Zodiac series and Lil' putters, which can be personalized and make great gifts to celebrate a child's birth.
C-Thru Grips, established in 2001, produces clear, tour-quality golf grips featuring stock or customized designs, and specializes in both putter and full-swing grips. A wide array of slogans, country flags, country club logos and college and university logos are available. Additionally, custom-designed labels may be ordered to support golf facilities, as well as alumni or corporate functions.
