Tour Golf Products, Inc., Westerville, Ohio, is in the process of adding to its www.tourgolfproducts.com website. Currently the website offers the company’s line of component heads shaft and grips, but in a move to educate clubmakers and golfers alike, Tour Golf has recently added educational articles to its site. The articles, authored by Jeff Jackson, are a recent addition to Tour Golf’s staff, will focus on club assembly repair and fitting.
The initial series of three assembly articles will detail how to install a grip, how to do basic club assembly and will explain what “standards” mean to the component industry. The first trio of fitting articles includes pieces concerning lie fitting, how lead tape influence ball flight and introduces the all-new Tour Golf Shaft Fitting Matrix. Jackson’s inaugural repair articles are related to reshafting a steel-shafted iron, regripping a club and extending a club. Each series of articles will be updated monthly are available at no charge on Tour Golf’s website. In addition to the articles, Tour Golf has added a Fitting Matrix to its site, making it a simple matter to match a shaft to a player.
Wayne Lin, CEO of Tour Golf Products, Inc. is excited about the addition of technical information to Tour Golf’s website. “We have been component suppliers for more than 20 years. We realize the importance of educating our customers related not only directly to our products, but to specific repair, fitting and assembly procedures as well. Adding Jeff’s expertise as a technical resource will help establish our company as more than just a club component supplier. We look to be a source of education as well. Look for Jeff’s work under the Tour Golf byline on other sites and in print in the near future also.”
Tour Golf celebrates 21 years in the component business in 2005. Tour Golf’s product line includes titanium and stainless steel wood heads, which include a 4-screw adjustable driver, a composite-crown driver and a 450cc beta titanium driver, all of which are new for 2005.
Tour Golf will debut 6 new lines of stainless iron designs suited to various levels of players in the next several weeks. The Accupath putter line, which features many of the most popular designs in the industry today, continues its pattern of consistent popularity.
